About instructor:

Dr. Walter Dalla Barba graduated in chemistry at the University of Modena in 1976, and subsequently worked from 1977 to 1978 as a research assistant in electrochemistry at the Electrochemistry Department of the University of Oslo (Norway). Having specialised in corrosion at the University of Ferrara. Since 1980 been the technical director of Italtecno s.r.l. of Modena, a firm dealing with research and marketing processes and plants for the surface treatment of aluminium. The research group he directs at Italtecno works principally on processes of electro-colouring and sealing anodised aluminium. He is the president of the publishing house Interall, which publishes the bi-monthly magazine “Aluminium Finishing” and the quarterly “Aluminium Extrusion”. He is chairman of Aluminium Two Thousand Congress held every two years, now at its 10th Edition.

He has written numerous scientific articles and has patented several special techniques for the surface treatment of aluminium.
